1)a. Salt hydrolysis is the decomposition of salt by water to produce back the acid and the base.
b. Partial hydrolysis is the hydrolysis where the salt comes from weak acid and strong base or vice versa, and only one ion that experiences hydrolysis reaction, and the other is not.
c. Total hydrolysis happens if the salt comes from weak acid and weak base.

7) Which salt will be acidic?
A. Potassium acetate
B. Sodium acetate
C. Sodium chloride
D. Ammonium acetate
E. Ammonium chloride
the answer is E. NH4Cl (amonium chloride)
NH4Cl is formed NH4OH (weak base) and HCl (Strong acid)
because of that the combining of weak base and strong acid, will become acidic salt.

7) Which salt will be acidic?
A. Potassium acetate
B. Sodium acetate
C. Sodium chloride
D. Ammonium acetate
E. Ammonium chloride
the answer is E. NH4Cl (amonium chloride)
Salt which formed by the raction of strong acid and weak base,only cation that will hydrolyzis (partial hydrolysis). in this case, the PH of this salt will less than seven.
NH4Cl is formed NH4OH (weak base) and HCl (Strong acid)
because of that the combining of weak base and strong acid, will become acidic salt.

3) Mgcl2 + 2H20 -> Mg(OH)2 + 2HCL
HCl is strong acid, while Mg(OH)2 is a weak base. So, MgCl2 will show acidic properties when it dissolved in water .

8)E. MgSO4
In water, MgSO4 form ions Mg 2+ and SO4 2-
MgSO4 (aq) => Mg 2+(aq) + SO4 2-(aq)
Mg 2+ ions derived from strong acids and SO4 2- ions derived from a strong base so they do not react with water.
Mg 2+ (aq) + H2O (l) => (no reaction)
SO4 2-(aq) + H2O (l) => (no reaction)
Therefore, the solution remains neutral
(pH = 7).

4) Which salt will take the total hydrolysis?
A. NaCl
B. NH4CN
C. NaCN
D. CH3COONa
E. CH3COONH4
answer:
Total hydrolysis is a hydrolysis where the comes from strong acid and strong base.
NaOH(aq)+ HCl(aq)=> NaCl(aq)+ H2O(l)
NaOH is strong base and HCl is strong acid, so NaCl comes from total hydrolysis.

6. B)NH4CL
Because NH4CL comes from weak base (NH4OH)and (HCL)strong acid.
When teh reaction happens between strong acid and weak base ,the salt will have acidic properties
